Purpose

A 3D printer is a device that builds a physical object layer by layer from a digital 3D model

Description and specifications

PRINT HEAD POSITIONING TECHNOLOGIES: Cartesian, where the design uses three mutually perpendicular guides, along each of which either the print head or the model base moves. Using three parallelograms, where three radially symmetrical motors move the bases of three parallelograms attached to the print head in a coordinated way.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE: A powder material is spread on the platform in a thin, even layer (usually with a special levelling roller), and then laser radiation forms the current layer of the object on the surface. The platform is then lowered by the thickness of one layer, and powder is applied again. For rapid prototyping, that is, quick production of prototype models and objects for further refinement. The design of a unit or of the whole object can be changed radically while it is still being designed. In engineering, this approach can significantly reduce the cost of production and of bringing new products to market. For rapid manufacturing: making finished parts from materials supported by 3D printers. This is an excellent solution for small-batch production. Making models and moulds for foundry work. Making various small items at home. Producing complex, large, strong and inexpensive systems.
