On 7 June 2023, Senior Lecturer K.P. Vonsevych of the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies of Instrument Manufacturing was invited to give an open lecture in the «Innovative Solutions in Medicine» section of the East-Expo 2023 business exhibition. The event took place in Kyiv at the Mystetskyi Arsenal as part of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme, with financial support from the European Union, the US Embassy in Ukraine and the Government of Croatia. The event has been held every year since 2017 in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Kherson Regional State Administrations, the Donetsk Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The presentation «Bionic Prosthetics. Global Experience and Ukrainian Solutions» covered current trends in prosthetics and robotic limbs, how they are designed, implemented and priced. Examples of modern products and projects from Ukraine and abroad were shown.
Discussions with specialists in the field identified possible ways to develop personal projects in this area and potential cooperation between the department and partners in prosthetics and rehabilitation.
