This is a new method of biomedical photometric analysis of light scattering within the full solid angle. The mathematical basis of spatial photometry is put into practice by determining scattering intensity along parallels (ring bands) and meridians (cross-sections).

Experimental two-channel and eight-channel information and measurement systems for spatial photometry of biological media have been built. Software has been developed for parallel recording of light fluxes with different spatial orientations.
Light scattering within the solid angle 4π was studied on biological tissue samples in vitro  at wavelengths of 405 nm and 632.8 nm. Scattering indicatrices were obtained for samples of animal muscle tissue with transverse and longitudinal fibre orientation, and from these the scattering anisotropy factor was determined using the cross-section method.
Keywords:  spatial photometry, scattering indicatrix, scattering anisotropy factor.
