Learning to use modern technologies in biomedical engineering matters not only for students but also for the department’s lecturers. That is why Senior Lecturer of the Department of Instrument Manufacturing K.P. Vonsevych, PhD, recently completed a practical course from LightForce Orthodontics on “Fundamentals of anatomy and the use of automation systems and CAD technologies in orthodontics”. The course covered the main anatomical features of the body, the dental and orthodontic basis for using brace systems, and modern automated technologies and engineering solutions used in orthodontics. The practical experience gained will certainly be put to use and will improve the teaching of subjects in automated biomedical technologies, in particular regarding current trends in orthodontics.
