On 17 October students specialising in “Medical Devices and Systems” met our graduates Dmytro Solomianchuk and Yevhenii Olianytskyi, who work at Med Exim, which represents world-famous medical equipment brands in Ukraine (Esaote, Medіspeс, Asclepion Laser Technologies, BeamMed, СІVCO). The main aim of the event was to share experience and show what the work involves in practice.
Dmytro is an X-ray equipment specialist and Yevhenii is an ultrasound equipment specialist. They supply, set up and service this equipment, and also train medical staff to use it.
During the meeting the guests talked about finding a job and applying the theory learnt during their studies in practice. Dmytro and Yevhenii brought portable equipment with them (the ultrasound scanner MyLab Alpha, the Flight 60 portable ventilator, the Veinscope BR-1.02 portable infrared vein finder, which makes it easier to puncture a vein for blood sampling), demonstrated how it works and showed all the advantages of modern models.
