Biography
He graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1980, majoring in Optical Instruments and Spectroscopy (0530).
Since 1979 he has worked at the Department of Instrument Engineering Technology (renamed the Department of Device Production in 1996 and the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies of Device Production in 2022) as senior laboratory assistant, engineer, junior researcher, senior researcher, leading researcher, professor and head of the department.
From 1983 to 1999 he was deputy head of the Department of Instrument Engineering Technology for research, and from 1994 to 2000 he was also deputy dean of the Faculty of Instrument Engineering for research. In 1999 he was elected head of the Department of Device Production, and in 2000 dean of the Faculty of Instrument Engineering, a post he held until 2025.
Research interests

Publications
In 1983 he defended his Candidate of Technical Sciences (PhD) thesis while continuing to work, and in 1995 his Doctor of Technical Sciences thesis in specialty 05.11.07 Optical Instruments and Systems. He holds the academic titles of Senior Researcher (1988) in specialty 05.02.11 Inspection Methods in Mechanical Engineering and Professor of the Department of Device Production (1998).
Under his supervision and with his participation, 32 contract and state-funded research projects have been completed, aimed at developing specialised laser methods and information and measurement systems for monitoring the technical condition and parameters of dynamic systems and objects. He created a new class of laser spectral correlation systems based on passive Fabry-Perot resonators for rapid monitoring of part quality and the condition of process equipment in precision instrument engineering.
The results of this work are published in 615 research works, including 37 monographs, 13 textbooks, 22 study guides, 67 USSR inventions and 78 Ukrainian utility model patents. Some of the work has appeared in leading journals in the USA, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Australia, Sweden and Italy. Scopus: 252 citations, h-index 11. Google Scholar: 2,132 citations, h-index 24.
Under his supervision 12 Candidates of Technical Sciences, 1 Doctor of Technical Sciences and 1 Doctor of Philosophy have been trained, and 2 PhD students are currently working under his supervision.
