Internship of associate professor Kateryna Barandych and 3rd year student Solomiya Perepechai under the NAWA UKRAINA ENHANCE2 project at the Warsaw University of Technology NEWS

As part of the NAWA UKRAINA ENHANCE2 project, associate professor Kateryna Barandych and 3rd year student Solomiya Perepechai completed an internship on the course “Advanced English with the elements of sustainable development vocabulary for young researchers of Lviv and Kyiv Technical Universities” at the Warsaw University of Technology during September 9-13, 2024.

The course was funded from NAWA 2 – Solidarity with Ukraine – European Universities and conducted by Foreign Language Centre, Warsaw University of Technology.

Course objectives were to:

  • improve spoken English proficiency for academic purposes;
  • develop vocabulary related to sustainable development;
  • enhance the presentation and public speaking skills;
  • develop effective communication strategies for academic discussions;
  • strengthen critical thinking and argumentation skills.

According to the results of the internship, not only the relevant certificates were obtained, but friendly relations were established between the representatives of the department and the Warsaw Polytechnic.
