Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute

Practical lecture on 3D printing

The department held a practical lecture on 3D printing as part of the Computer-Aided Design course.

The main speaker was Oleksandr Heorhiiovych Novakovskyi, a PhD student of the department who has been building and improving 3D printers for a long time. During the session the students saw what 3D printing can do using parts they had designed themselves, and took the finished parts home as souvenirs))) It was a really interesting and useful session: the students not only learnt about the history of the first 3D printers, how they have been improved and where they are used, but also turned their own designs into real parts)))

Many thanks to Oleksandr Heorhiiovych, and we look forward to working together again)
